Pieter started his career in 1999 and has since been active in M&A and private equity. He also has a strong track record in corporate governance related matters and acting for purpose and impact-driven investors and companies, such as Tony’s Chocolonely. He has ample experience in creating structures that safeguard a company’s purpose and social impact, and he is regularly instructed in such cases. Pieter is a partner in the Corporate / M&A practice.

Pieter obtained a post-graduate degree (Grotius) in corporate and business law (cum laude). He lectured on corporate law (mergers and acquisitions) in the faculty of post-doctoral studies at the University of Nijmegen for many years. He also regularly publishes on subjects related to corporate law and he is a permanent contributor to the ‘Onderneming & Financiering’ journal. Pieter speaks Dutch and English.
