Pieter begon zijn carrière in 1999 en is sindsdien actief op het gebied van fusies en overnames en private equity. Hij heeft ook een sterk track record in corporate governance gerelateerde zaken en het optreden voor purpose en impact gedreven investeerders en bedrijven, zoals Tony’s Chocolonely. Hij heeft ruime ervaring in het creëren van structuren die de purpose en sociale impact van een onderneming waarborgen en hij wordt regelmatig in dergelijke zaken gedagvaard. Pieter is Partner in de Corporate / M&A praktijk.

Hij is gespecialiseerd in ondernemingsrecht, met de nadruk op fusies, overnames, private equity, joint ventures, corporate governance en advies en contracten in zakelijke en commerciële aangelegenheden.

Pieter behaalde een postdoctorale graad (Grotius) in het ondernemingsrecht (cum laude). Hij doceerde jarenlang ondernemingsrecht (fusies en overnames) aan de faculteit Postdoctorale Studies van de Universiteit Nijmegen. Daarnaast publiceert hij regelmatig over ondernemingsrechtelijke onderwerpen en is hij vaste medewerker van het tijdschrift ‘Onderneming & Financiering’. Pieter spreekt Nederlands en Engels. Pieter is opgenomen in Chambers en Legal 500.
